Week 0: Parts! Parts! Parts!

We decided to order all required parts specified in our BOM from the final design prior to the beginning of the new term. Keeping in mind potential delays from the winter holidays and new year, we ordered all our parts prior to January 1st, hoping our precious cargo would be delivered before school began once again (January 4th). With this in mind, all orders went out by December 24th, 2021 to the third party vendors (McMaster Carr, DigiKey, Amazon and RobotShop)

To our surprise, we had an early Christmas, with some of our parts arriving ahead of schedule (see below for our motors and WiFi module)!! But unfortunately, due to some unexpected delays some other parts from RobotShop, Digikey and McMaster Carr were not received until later. Despite this, the team was still able to begin their journey into creating the automated plant monitoring system with the parts that were delivered on time.
